What does JDM mean?

JDM stands for Japanese Domestic Market — vehicles and parts built for sale in Japan, not for export. In car culture, JDM has come to describe the broader style and community around Japanese performance cars, especially from the 1980s through the early 2000s. Tokyo Auto Tribe designs are rooted in that era.

What does 東京魂 mean?

東京魂 (Tokyo damashii) means "Tokyo soul" or "Tokyo spirit." It appears as a brushstroke mark on our Tokyo Soul cap and other pieces — a nod to the culture the brand is built around.

What is touge?

Touge (峠) is the Japanese word for a mountain pass. In car culture it refers to driving the narrow, winding mountain roads of Japan — the setting that shaped an entire era of Japanese performance driving and the inspiration behind our Touge Legends designs.

How do your shirts fit?

Standard tees run true to size with a regular fit. Oversized tees are cut with dropped shoulders and a roomy body — order your usual size for the intended oversized look, or size down for a more standard fit. Each product page lists the fabric weight and fit details.

How are your products printed?

Apparel is printed on demand using direct-to-garment (DTG) printing on quality blanks, which keeps designs sharp and lets us offer a wide range without overproducing. Stickers are printed on durable vinyl with eco-solvent inks.

Who is Tokyo Auto Tribe?

Tokyo Auto Tribe is an independent apparel brand celebrating Japanese car culture from the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s.
